Cloisters Castle

Website Redesign

The Cloisters Castle is a Maryland party venue secluded among 60 acres of woods in Baltimore County. Working with the Baltimore Office of Promotion & The Arts, the organization that manages The Cloisters, a new website was created to attract visitors and party go’ers. The website designed and built mobile-first includes a simple yet intuitive design and information architecture. Visitors are hooked emotionally with imagery that captures the beauty and unique experience the Cloisters promises as a venue. An interactive floor plan filled with pictures and site details allows interested visitors to take a sneak peak into the castle.

My role in this project began during the discovery phase. Working with the client and our internal creative team,  I created and presented a new information architecture which featured new elements including an interactive floor plan, testimonials, social integration, events calendar, and quick access to rental & visitor information. I designed all desktop and mobile variations and worked collaboratively with development teams to implement the new design into the client’s chosen CMS.
